Even if you don't play Aketon, I am certain the tables within will assist you in the running of any elf-game.

It isn't written explicitly in the rules, but I imagine that once the players have found a collector to sell magic items and high value treasures to they may have a faster way to contact them should they need to sell more. However, I'd say that not every collector wants every kind of item, so they can't always sell magic swords to the same guy who wanted to buy potions or jewelry. At least that's the way I run it in my home game.
