Page Count Increase

Welcome back to Crowns, where last we left our heroes, we were still lacking a few pages. I didn't realize they were lacking at first but, thanks to some much-needed feedback, I realized we didn't have any descriptors for Magic Items, Potions, and how to interact with Settlements. As such, I've added in those pages, bringing the actual page count to 32 pages instead of 28.

I've also added a feat reference chart to more easily see what feats cost what, and which feats require what, so you don't have to rummage back and forth through the whole book to find which feats you can afford at any one time.

Game Design Changes

Minor changes have been made all across the book, so I recommend you give it a once over if you are currently playtesting the game. I'm particularly fond of the Settlement section near the back (so it can be easily referenced in play).

I'm currently working on building a new character sheet, new condition cards, ect. to better fit the changes that have been made, as well as a combat reference sheet that works as a neat flowchart to show how combat works more easily. I might make one for using grimoires as well (if the first chart takes up the entire 5.5" by 8.5", which I don't think it will).

The goal for the new character sheet is that it will be one page. The left half will be a character sheet (as normal), and the right half will be a quick rules reference for the players.

Art

Our artist will be starting work on this book next week after she has finished her midterms. I'm excited to get rid of this placeholder pixel art, although I think it does the job well.
